Summary
The BLK II A phase center z-offsets from the Center of Mass are:
- L1 = 118 cm
- L2 = 87 cm
- LC = 166 cm
Measurements used absolute choke ring offsets from http://www.ife.uni-hannover.de/~web/AOA_DM_T/
Phase curvature across the beam appears to be fairly flat
Some asymmetry is visible but may be due to antenna being “out of tune”
BLK II A and BLK II F will be measured week of June 11 (negotiations underway for BLK II R)
Preliminary global solutions by NGS show that scale effects introduced by using absolute phase calibrations for terrestrial antennas are reduced by using these new z-offsets
